===== Knowledge Bundle =====

A **Knowledge Bundle** is a self-contained, organized collection of related knowledge documents. It is the unit of distribution, reuse, and deployment.

===== Concept =====

A **Concept** is a single unit of knowledge inside a bundle. A concept may describe a policy, process, service, asset, metric, form, organization, requirement, or idea.

===== Concept ID =====

A **Concept ID** is the unique path or identifier used to locate a concept within a Knowledge Bundle.

Example:

  government:ai_readiness

===== Frontmatter =====

**Frontmatter** is structured metadata placed at the top of a knowledge document. It may identify the title, owner, status, audience, source citations, review date, or related concepts.

===== Body =====

The **Body** is the human-readable content of the concept after its metadata.

===== Link =====

A **Link** connects one concept to another. Links show relationships beyond simple parent and child navigation.

===== Citation =====

A **Citation** connects a claim, rule, definition, or recommendation to an authoritative source.

===== Why Terminology Matters =====

Shared terminology gives people, teams, and AI systems a consistent way to create, maintain, search, and reuse knowledge.
